Gold Expressions in Japan
The Gold Expressions event in Tokyo took place at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Tokyo on March 28 2008. The function was jointly organized by World Gold Council and Ginza Tanaka and with sponsors Fiera di Vicenza.
300 jewellery pieces created by the 60 Gold Expressions Italian manufacturers were showcased at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom. Also displayed were additional jewellery items derived from the Gold Expressions project selected by Ginza Tanaka for the Japanese market featuring the five Italian brands, namely Torrini, Vendorafa, Marco Bicego, Pesavento and The Fifth Season.
The highlight of the one-day event was a cocktail reception followed by a catwalk parade by fashion models with selected pieces of the Gold Expressions collection. Prior to the fashion show Mr. Noboru Takata, President of Ginza Tanaka delivered opening remarks and Albert Cheng, Managing Director Far East Region of the World Gold Council followed him and spoke on behalf of the Council. Around 250 guests (mostly from jewellery trade) attended the event including journalists.
