Since its inception in 1977 by Marilisa Zen and Silverio Cerato, Silmar has distinguished itself as a leading manufacturer in Vicenza's gold jewellery industry. Although beginning as a producer of machine-made gold chains, the company has since expanded its portfolio to include an extensive range of stylish pieces that are renowned for their design and technical expertise. As one of the largest consumers of precious metals in Italy, Silmar currently employs 300 people, has been SGS and ISO 9001 certified since 2000, and sells its products to more than 500 clients worldwide.
Silmar's most notable achievements include a ‘Gold Virtuosi' award in 2003, and the ‘Editor's Choice in Couture' award in 2004.
