Antonio Songa was established in 1921 and quickly became a recognised company in the precious jewellery wholesale market. Inspired by the same dynamic spirit as his father, Giovanni Songa took the helm of the company in 1962 and turned it into one of Italy’s major distributors. In the mid-1990s, his sons Antonio and Francesco joined Songa, and it continues to grow through their contributions. More than 2,000 clients visit the Songa Group showroom in Milan each year to admire the latest fashion trends and the most sought-after and original jewellery designs.
In 2008, Songa chose to promote the highly intrinsic and aesthetic value of the yellow metal with an advertising campaign designed to re-launch gold jewellery. The ‘Babila Oro’ brand was thus created and unveiled in all major fashion magazines, through a campaign consisting of 80 adverts. Widespread distribution of the product throughout Italy places the beauty and uniqueness of gold jewellery in the spotlight and once again confirms the ingenious intuition and entrepreneurial spirit of the Songa Group.
